Pursuing a PhD is far more rewarding as a shared journey than as a solitary endeavor. As a cohort, doctoral candidates support one another through the different stages of research, often forming lasting and sometimes lifelong onnections along the way. Exchange across disciplines strengthens individual projects, sparks new ideas, and fosters meaningful collaboration within our community. The DSHCS actively encourages this spirit of connection by providing event funding, offering a dedicated event room, supporting student initiatives, and organizing social gatherings such as the semester opening and the annual summer party.
