Coursework
The DSHCS and DSPL 41 offer colloquia and seminars that are open to all doctoral candidates of the Faculty of Historical and Cultural Studies. They provide a solid scientific education and support doctoral candidates in developing into independent and critically thinking researchers. The goal is to enable them to conduct innovative research based on sound methodological and theoretical reflection.
Of particular importance is the Introduction Course Doctoral Program Historical and Cultural Studies, which provides an optimal starting point into doctoral studies for all doctoral candidates. The colloquia, which primarily serve for exchange, discussion, and presentation of projects, should be attended after completing the FÖP.
Each course is worth 5 ECTS credits, which can be applied toward the 24 ECTS credits required as part of the curriculum.
