On May 24, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the University of Vienna will be dedicated to the Long Night of Research. The University of Vienna invites all researchers and young scientists to present their research to a broad audience in the main building of the University of Vienna. The target audiences for the Long Night of Research are children, teenagers, and adults. The presentation of projects will take place at stalls of approximately 5m² each and aims to present research and information and even more important to encourage visitors to participate.
Preparation & Participation
- Presentations & Equipment
Participants are free in what and how they want to contribute. They can bring posters, possibly conduct small experiments, or showcase tangible objects from their research routine—or simply share their research with the audience. - Selection process for presentations in the main building
In early February, a jury will select projects for the Long Night of Research from the submitted applications, assigning them a station in the main building. Applicants will be informed of the results immediately afterward. A total of 40 stations from various research fields at the University of Vienna will be present at the main building. - Project submission
All researchers and young scientists who are interested in presenting their research in the main building during the Long Night of Research are asked to submit their projects by January 31, 2024 by using the following link: https://univie.eventsair.com/lange-nacht-der-forschung-2024/lnf2024
